Rolling Stone magazine always manages to raise eyebrows with its latest list. Whether it be a top 100 best musicians of all-time list or the top 100 reasons why rolling stone editors are high on meth. Regardless, Rolling Stone always seems to have pop culture BY THE BALLS with their controversial takes.
Rolling Stone has made it their mission to take on any topic under the sun and rank it. From The 100 Greatest Guitarists Of All Time to The 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time, they have left no stone unturned. But now, they’ve taken things to a whole new level by compiling a list about lists that are controversial. Who knew that lists themselves could be controversial?
For example, Rolling Stone(d) made a list of ‘’The 100 Best East Coast Hip-Hop Songs of All Time’’. This list is filled with TALENTED MUSICIANS such as The Notorious B.I.G to the one only Lauryn Hill. We scratch our heads and wonder why someone like Ice Spice is on this list even if she is placed at number 60. The same goes for the: ‘’200 Best Singers of All Time List’’. Rolling Stone put the King Of Pop at number 86 and put the red-haired girl from Victorious (Ariana Grande) at number 43.
We wouldn’t be surprised if every Rolling Stone writer had to sniff a mountain of cocaine before writing their articles and thinking they know culture! These Rolling Stone writers are so delusional that they would even dare to write an article about Ice Spice and why she’s Gen-Z’s Aaliyah.
Nonetheless, their buffoonery seems to be effective as many people keep discussing their antics. Are Rolling Stone(d) writers just uneducated about pop culture or do they just want to be trending on Twitter?
